XR InnoLab team at DISB 2025
Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB), an event focused on technology and innovation, returns in 2025 organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), between April 8–11, 2025, bringing to the forefront the latest technological trends and solutions through the participation of industry leaders, innovative startups, technology experts, and representatives of the public and private sectors from around the world.
DISB 2025 represents a platform of excellence for knowledge exchange, networking, and exploring the latest technological developments. The event addresses essential themes such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity, financial technologies (FinTech), digital sustainability, and many others. Participants will be able to take part in top conferences, live demonstrations, and workshop sessions dedicated to the most dynamic and influential segments in technology.
The XR InnoLab team of ICI Bucharest was present at DISB 2025 for the presentation of the project "Advanced Research in Metaverse and Emerging Technologies for the Digital Transformation of Society". Visitors were invited to experience virtual reality applications that illustrate learning and simulation scenarios. XR InnoLab researchers explained the scientific objectives of the project and discussed the role of extended reality (XR) in sectors such as education, health, and Industry 4.0, highlighting the potential for implementation in Romania.
