XR InnoLab team at National Congress on Active Ageing 2025
The National Congress on Active Ageing is the first event of its kind in Romania, aiming to present new concepts, innovative perspectives, and applicable solutions supported by professionals and specialists from various fields of activity, regarding the phenomenon of ageing and the adaptation of individuals to this life stage.
On November 17–18, 2025, the project team for “Advanced Research in the Metaverse and Emerging Technologies for the Digital Transformation of Society” participated in the third edition of the National Congress on Active Ageing, an event organized by the Romanian Institute for Active Ageing Association at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, Romania.
During the event, the team benefited from a dedicated booth, where visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with ICI Bucharest specialists and explore the research projects developed within the innovation laboratories. The XR Lab team presented demonstrations showcasing how virtual environments can be used as tools for digital inclusion, education, and intergenerational connectivity. The strong interest shown by participants highlights the need for adapted and accessible technologies capable of supporting active and autonomous ageing.
