XR InnoLab Team at Vianu SciTech – IT Treasure Hunt 2025
Vianu SciTech – IT Treasure Hunt is an educational competition organized by the StartEvo Association and hosted by the "Tudor Vianu" National College of Informatics. The event promotes interdisciplinary learning, collaboration, and students' direct contact with state-of-the-art technologies.
On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the XR InnoLab team organized the virtual reality (VR) challenge as part of the Vianu SciTech – IT Treasure Hunt event. The challenge was part of a practical technology marathon dedicated to students, aimed at familiarizing participants with the use of virtual reality in an applied context. Teams consisting of 8–10 students navigated through several practical challenges proposed by the organizers and partners, each lasting a maximum of 10 minutes. In this context, the students also participated in the challenge coordinated by ICI Bucharest.
The VR challenge was a practical task in which participants had to conduct a virtual search for clues using the immersive virtual reality application "FireEscape." The students were placed in a simulated emergency scenario and had to identify solutions to overcome obstacles within a limited time. The activity aimed to exercise attention, spatial orientation, and rapid decision-making within a controlled digital environment.
