XR InnoLab Team at PoliFest 2025
PoliFest 2025, having reached its 14th edition, is the largest educational festival organized by the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest. The event connects future specialists with the most innovative organizations in Romania. Through exhibitions, presentations, and workshops, PoliFest creates an environment where high school students, university students, teaching staff, and researchers can discover the educational offer of the faculties, explore state-of-the-art laboratories, and learn directly from organizations about career opportunities, practical training placements, and internships.
At the 2025 edition, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest was one of the exhibitors, in partnership with FAIMA - the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Business Engineering and Management, presenting the project "Advanced Research in Metaverse and Emerging Technologies for the Digital Transformation of Society". Visitors to the ICI stand had the opportunity to test virtual reality applications. During discussions with the institute's researchers, participants learned details about the project's scientific objectives, about the role of the metaverse and extended reality in fields such as education, administration, data governance, or Industry 4.0, but also about potential practical applications within the Romanian environment.
