Metaverse: Concepts, Technologies, and Future Perspectives

As part of core project no. 23380601 – 'Advanced Research in Metaverse and Emerging Technologies for the Digital Transformation of Society,' ICI Bucharest successfully ran the pilot course 'Metaverse: Concepts, Technologies, and Future Perspectives' from November 18–26, 2025. This experimental format deepened knowledge in one of digital transformation's most dynamic areas.

The course covered themes including: the evolution of the Metaverse concept, practical applications (education, economy, healthcare, creative industries), fundamental technologies (VR/AR, AI, blockchain), and aspects of governance, ethics, and the evolution of immersive ecosystems.

The edition was attended by 22 students from Bucharest's technical universities, including the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics (UNSTPB), and the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics (ASE).
